Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to be a skilled carpenter, or plumber, or electrician?
Absolutely not! We ask for availability, not ability. We have a wonderful, dedicated leadership team that has the skills needed to perform the work. Never underestimate the impact you might have on a project!
Do I have to work all day?
Absolutely not! Our goal is for most projects to be completed by about 1:00 pm. Our rule is “Come when you can, leave when you need to.”
Can I bring my child with me?
Absolutely. If a teenager comes by himself or herself they must be 14; however, if a parent brings their child, there is no age restriction.
Will I get dirty or see living conditions that are disturbing?
Probably, but the dirt will wash off and there is such a tremendous blessing to know that you are making someone’s living conditions better. Imagine helping someone get running water or a floor that is safe to walk on or a roof so that they don’t have to put buckets around every time it rains.
